Workshops

A Hands-On Learning Experience

Learning is best done together, with hands-on experiences that inspire sustainable and creative approaches to cooking. That’s why we host workshops—practical sessions designed to explore ways to reduce food waste, use ingredients to their fullest potential, and develop skills for sustainable living.

What to Expect at Our Workshops

Our workshops take place at irregular intervals, each offering a fresh opportunity to dive into sustainable cooking practices. From rediscovering overlooked ingredients to mastering preservation techniques, these sessions are part cooking class, part creative lab, and always full of inspiration.
In our workshops, you’ll:

  • Learn practical ways to minimize food waste.
  • Experiment with techniques to make the most out of every ingredient.
  • Collaborate and share ideas with a community of like-minded participants.

Highlights from Past Workshops

We’ve hosted a variety of workshops that showcase how sustainable cooking can be both fun and delicious:

  • „You Can Eat That!“: Discover surprising ways to use food scraps like potato peels, lemon rinds, and carrot greens. Participants learned how to turn these often-discarded parts into flavorful dishes.
  • Pickling and Jarring: A deep dive into preserving seasonal vegetables and fruits, using age-old techniques to extend their shelf life and reduce waste.

Each workshop is a chance to explore a specific topic, ask questions, and develop new culinary skills that you can take home and share.

The Learning Lab – Your Ideas in Action

Workshops at ToKoKo are as much about learning as they are about creating. Our Learning Lab invites participants to contribute ideas for future sessions. Is there a skill you’d like to learn? A technique you’re curious about? A question about food sustainability you’ve always wanted to explore? Bring it to the lab, and it might just become the focus of our next workshop!

Stay Tuned

Workshop dates are announced throughout the year, so keep an eye on our website and social media for updates. Whether you’re a seasoned cook or just starting your journey into sustainable living, our workshops are open to all levels of experience.
